Details:
The Unification Ride is an event put on by bikers for bikers. This event is geared toward bringing all bikers together and raising money for various scholarships and charities. Bikers ride from various locations of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi to join together and fellowship with each other and also raise money for scholarships to help graduating high school seniors with their transition into college.  To apply for the scholarship, download the application below.

If you are traveling either North from Gulf Coast, Mobile AL or Louisiana OR you are traveling South from Chicago IL, Louisville KY, Huntsville AL, Birmingham AL, Nashville TN, Memphis TN take I-65 to Exit 168 West South Blvd. The escorts will meet you at Waffle House 985 West South Blvd Montgomery Al 36108 from 10:00am–11:00am.

If you are traveling from Jackson Ms take Hwy 80 East to I-65 North to exit 168 West South Blvd. The escorts will meet you at Waffle House 985 West South Blvd Montgomery Al 36108 from 10:00am–11:00am.

If you are traveling from I-85 South take exit 6 East Blvd turn left off exit go to Exxon 1300 Eastern Blvd Montgomery Al 36117. The escorts will meet you at from 10:00am–11:00am.

If you are traveling from Florida or Dothan on US 231 turn left on East South Blvd the hotel in 1 mile on your right.

Hello everyone.  After looking back on the 10 + years that 1 Up 1 Down has been in existence, I came up with a good phrase that I feel all of you should read and remember because it will affect you if your heart is truly into it.

….”being involved in 1 Up 1 Down, will bring out any issues a person might have.  Some of them could be pertaining to finances, communicating effectively with others,  communicating effectively with his/her spouse/significant other, inability to manage time efficiently, trying to create a balance with home life/club life; just to name a few.   Just because these issues come to a head, doesn’t mean that the club is the problem.  It means that the club is strong enough to bring out the problems in you and in your life.  Its up to you as a person to be able to differentiate between the two and correct these problems within yourself and your own household.  That is if you want to be a better person and to be effective in 1 Up 1 Down.”

The blog is intended to educate and unite individuals. Not to offend anybody. If you are offended by anything that is said, maybe you need to reevaluate. Please don’t waste your time or your club’s time if your heart is not in it.

1. Don’t go to meetings.

2. If you go, be late – leave early.

3. If the weather is bad, you don’t even think of going.

4. If you do go to a meeting, find fault with everything and keep a conversation going while the meeting is in progress.

5. Never accept an office. It’s easier to sit back and criticize or want an office strictly for the title.

6. If appointed to a committee, don’t go to the meetings. If not appointed, get peeved about it.

7. When asked for an opinion, reply that you have no comments, but after the meeting tell everyone how things should have been done.

8. Do nothing more than absolutely necessary, but when others do the “lion’s share” tell everyone how the club is run by a CLIQUE.

9. Don’t worry about paying your dues. Wait until you receive the final notice and then blame the treasurer for not telling you.

10. Don’t worry about getting new members. Let the ones who do all the other work do that too.

This week we have been given 168 hours to use.  How will you use them this week?  We all have the same amount of time. Everyone from Donald Trump to the homeless person in the streets.  No one has more or less than the other.  Why is it some people can do and have more than others when we all have the same amount of time?  The people who seem to have more, use their time working toward their goals.  Those who have no goals are not productive because they have no objectives in their lives.  When we have goals, we have purpose in our day.  When we have goals, our day is made up of doing those things which will bring us closer to what we want.  Goals force us to use those 168 hours a week for something meaningful.  God has given us all the same amount time to do what is important.  We are the stewards of God’s time.  How well are we spending His time?

1Up 1Down Ryderz teamed up with MABA (Montgomery Area Bikers Association), Frank Walker of the Minnesota Vikings, Mr. Sweets, Delta Sigma Theta (alumni Chapter), and  The Love Life Foundation came together for a food and clothing drive at Ace Bowling Center on  Wed 5/4 from 10am-10pm collecting goods to deliver to the survivors in Tuscaloosa including the Ultimate Riders of Tuscaloosa.  Special thanks to C-Money for securing the trailer and helping to deliver much needed aid for the folks in Tuscaloosa.  We made the trip down Saturday 5/7.  Check out the pics from that day!  Click here

Congrats to Rita “Foxx” LeBlanc, the latest addition to 1Up 1Down Ryderz!  Foxx received her colors 4/2 and is now a full member in good standing with the club!
